Inka is a 10-year-old Lurcher who came in on Thursday, the 13th, for a dental procedure. She had a general anaesthetic, full mouth radiographs, and a scale and polish.
We will not do a dental procedure without X-rays. They help our vets see the condition of your pet’s teeth, including the roots, which cannot be seen by just looking.

The X-rays showed she had a fractured upper tooth that needed extraction.
Her upper canine was extracted. The tooth was discoloured, and the X-rays confirmed the tooth was no longer viable (meaning dead). This is likely to have been caused by trauma.
She had a total of five teeth extracted.
She was sent home with pain relief and to be seen back in 1 week for a post-operative check-up with one of our nurses.
